OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100

In the case of Silent Art acoustic pictures, both the canvas and the acoustic board are certified with OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. We have explained below what it means to be OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 is an internationally recognized label for textile products that guarantees that they are free from substances harmful to health. The label is given to products that have been tested for a wide range of chemicals, including toxic substances such as dyes, metals and allergenic chemicals that can be harmful to human health.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 assesses products across four categories, which depend on whether the product is in direct contact with the skin or whether it is used for other purposes. The closer the product is to the skin, the stricter the requirements for the safety of the substances.

When a product bears the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 label, it means that it has been tested and found safe for human use and that it meets the highest environmental standards in terms of chemical content. It is a popular brand in the textile industry and is used for certifications ranging from clothing to bedding and baby products.

The most important criteria for OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100:

  1. Chemicals : Testing of dyes, chemicals and pesticides that may be harmful to humans.
  2. Health : Protection against substances harmful to health, which can cause allergies, irritation or long-term health problems.
  3. Environmental friendliness : The production of textile goods must also take environmental impact into account.

This means that products with the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 mark have been thoroughly tested to ensure that they are safe to use for the consumer and gentlest on the environment.
